A BIG Thank You to Mrs. Vazquez for volunteering her time to plan a fun day of thinking and collaborating for the kids in Room 1!  They worked in teams as engineers to  build a new roller coaster!!  

We are becoming Google experts in 2nd grade! Stop by and check out our informational reports that were typed in google docs and include images from Google, text features such as table of contents, index, and glossaries. Our young authors are excited to share their books with you. They have published fiction books as well with amazing illustrations. The students continue to collaborate, communicate, and work together in teams when tackling STEM projects. Check out pictures from our "Marshmallow Challenge" recently. I was given this challenge amongst 40 other teachers at a professional workshop and only ONE group out of 6 groups created a structure that could stand nevermind trying to make it tall! These kids amaze me everyday!
